Walt Johnson III

Walt Johnson III, PE MBA has a strong background in project management and business development. Walt has over 30 years of experience in various roles within the industrial and commercial design/build industry.

From 1991 to 2024, Walt worked at ITAC, starting as a Project Manager and later progressing to roles such as Mechanical & Process Engineering Department Manager, Business & Project Development Manager, Director of Business Development, Director of Project & Construction Management, and finally Senior Projects Director, Principal. In these positions, they managed teams of project managers, design engineers, and construction resources, oversaw complex industrial and commercial design/build projects, developed proposals for new business opportunities, and provided strategic direction for internal and external project resources.

Prior to ITAC, Walt worked as a Project Engineer at ICI Americas from 1984 to 1991.

Throughout their career, Walt has demonstrated their expertise in developing project execution plans, managing staffing and financial aspects, and identifying and capturing new business opportunities.

Walt Johnson III, PE MBA, obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech from 1978 to 1983. Walt continued their education at the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business, earning their MBA from 1989 to 1992 with a focus on Business. Walt also holds a Professional Certificate in Beer Brewing from the University of Richmond.
