Augusto Lucarelli

Augusto Lucarelli is a Senior Engineer at Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. since October 2013, specializing in geotechnical consulting and advanced numerical modeling. As an Associate and Lead Geotechnical Engineer at Studio Sintesi since 1998, Augusto focuses on underground geotechnical and structural design, excavation methods, monitoring, back analysis, soil investigations, soft soil improvements, and foundation design. Previously, Augusto served as a Staff Civil Engineer at Enereco S.p.A. and as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer at Studio Geotecnico Italiano, where expertise in numerical modeling, tunneling, and foundation design was developed. Augusto holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical and Structural from Università di Ancona and completed graduate studies in Tunneling and Tunnel Boring Machines at Politecnico di Torino in 2012.
