Catherine Velásquez

Catherine Velásquez has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. Catherine began their career as a Software Development Intern at RAYA in 2012. Catherine then worked at INACAP as a Functional Analyst, where they analyzed internal customer requirements and helped improve their processes. In 2012, they also started working as an Information Technology Consultant at Deloitte Chile, providing services related to IT Audit and Risk Management for various clients. Their responsibilities included analyzing IT processes and identifying key controls to mitigate risks.

In 2015, Catherine joined Itaú Chile as an Internal Auditor in the Information Technology department. Their role involved identifying risks and issues in various IT processes, evaluating the control environment, and preparing internal audit reports. Catherine then progressed to the role of Senior Analyst in 2018, followed by Associate Information Technology in 2019. In 2022, they became an Assistant Vice President in Information Technology, where they were responsible for strategic planning, project execution, and managing project budgets and resources. Currently, Catherine holds the position of Vice President - IT Manager at Itaú Chile, where they oversee IT operations and collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to achieve organizational objectives.

Catherine Velásquez obtained a diploma in Systems Audit from Universidad de Chile in 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Management from Universidad Tecnológica de Chile, Inacap between 2008 and 2011. Catherine also holds additional certifications in CISA from ISACA in 2015 and Cobit 5 Foundations from APMG-International in 2014.
