Oscar Vega

Oscar Vega has extensive work experience in the field of security architecture and infrastructure. Oscar currently serves as the Infraestructure & Security Architecture CoE Lead at Itaú Chile, where they are responsible for designing security and cybersecurity architecture solutions. Prior to this, they worked as an Expert Security Architect at the same company, leading a team and designing security architecture solutions both on-premise and in the cloud.

Before joining Itaú Chile, Oscar worked as an Architect of Cybersecurity at Banco de Chile, where they analyzed infrastructure security requirements and designed security solutions. Oscar also evaluated technological security tools and provided support to the business.

Prior to their role at Banco de Chile, Oscar served as a Senior Security and IT Infrastructure Architect at Itaú Chile. In this role, they analyzed security, network, and infrastructure requirements, designed solutions in these areas, and evaluated technological tools to support the business.

Earlier in their career, Oscar was an Engineer of Security and IT Infrastructure at LarrainVial, where they designed and maintained security platforms and data networks. Oscar also developed security policies and managed technology migration plans.

Oscar has also held positions at Data Conversion Service SA, Metro de Maracaibo, Telecomunicaciones Movilnet, Instituto Universitario UNIR, and Alcaldia de Maracaibo, where they gained experience in telecommunications, network coordination, and teaching roles.

In 2005 to 2006, they completed a Diploma in Higher Education at LUZ, specializing in Higher Education. Additionally, Oscar earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from URBE between 2001 and 2006. Oscar also holds various certifications, including the Guardicore Certified Segmentation Engineer GCSE, Lifelong Learning, Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC), Guardicore Certified Segmentación Administrador, Aviatrix Certified Engineer - Multi-Cloud Network Associate, and Survey Contributor of The Agile Adoption Report 2021. Oscar has also completed the Introducción a la Ciberseguridad course through the Cisco Networking Academy and possesses the Lead Cybersecurity Professional Certificate.
