Mercy Yuen has a diverse work experience within the field of embedded software engineering. Mercy started their career as a Jr. Software Engineer at Greer Company in July 2005 and worked there until September 2008. Mercy then joined Datamax-Oneil as an Embedded Software Engineer in September 2008 and stayed there until March 2012. During their time at Datamax-Oneil, they focused on research and development for embedded software applications for mobile printers, including implementing the initial BSP and custom bootloader for the newest printer line. Mercy also wrote the smart battery charging application for the new printer. In March 2012, Mercy Yuen joined Iteris as an Embedded Software Engineer. At Iteris, they were responsible for implementing and maintaining system-side, real-time applications running on an embedded Linux platform. Mercy also served as the lead designer and implementer of GUIs and video overlays using the QT platform and gstreamer for real-time traffic monitoring systems running on embedded Linux. Mercy had hands-on experience in all aspects of the product cycle, from design and implementation to integration-testing, field-testing, production, and product support.
