Alejandra Castellanos Márquez is the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for Environmental Engineering at ITESO. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at CISAI - Centro de Innovación Social de Alto Impacto from January 2019 to July 2020. There, they coordinated applied research and social innovation projects, specializing on waste and water issues. Alejandra also worked as a Project Coordinator at Reforestamos México A.C. from February 2016 to April 2018, where they coordinated interdisciplinary projects related with information transparency, forest legality and competitiveness of forests as a productive sector. Additionally, they have worked as a Freelance Consultant on Consultancy and applied Research on Sustainable Development from October 2014 to October 2018.
Alejandra Castellanos Márquez has a Master's Degree in Environmental Policy Instruments from the University of Melbourne. Alejandra also has a Design and Implementation of Environmental Public Policy degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México with an emphasis on urban planning. Lastly, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara.
