Khalid Kamhawi

Khalid Kamhawi has a long history of experience in the energy industry. Khalid began their career in 2008 as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Delta Energy Services, where they provided technical oversight for Industrial Water Treatment mechanical design and led the mechanical sales team. Khalid then moved up to the role of Engineering Technical Manager in 2011, managing the mechanical and chemical engineering divisions and providing technical support for business development and proposals. In 2013, they joined Petrofac as a Strategy Consultant & Proposals/Project Engineer, developing a statistical based cost estimating software package and a new mathematical model for pipeline susceptibility to 'walking'. In 2017, they became the Lead of Advanced Engineering at Offshore Wind Consultants Limited, leading the Advanced Engineering Department and providing technical consultancy expertise. Khalid then moved to NP Renewables in 2016, taking on the roles of Managing Director and Certification, Foundations, and Site Conditions Manager. In 2019, they joined Red Rock Power Limited as the Certification Manager and Ithaca Clean Energy as the Founder. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Mainstream Renewable Power to develop a Floating Offshore Wind CAPEX Dynamic Modelling Tool.

Khalid Kamhawi obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from Imperial College London between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University between 2000 and 2004.
