Kamel Geagea has over 25 years of experience in the audio-visual and networking fields. Kamel began their career at PSI Productions as an Audio Technician before advancing to Senior Audio Visual Engineer and Technical Manager. Kamel then joined BACKSTAGE MANAGEMENT as the Chief Engineer and Technical Operations Director, overseeing all aspects of audio-visual services for national and international clients.
In 2006, Geagea transitioned to MotorCity Casino Hotel, where they served as the Manager of Audio Visual Operations and later became the Manager of Audio Visual Operations/Production Manager. Kamel managed a team of technicians, conducted payroll and labor analysis, and maintained complex sound, lighting, and video systems throughout the casino.
Geagea then joined Illuminating Concepts as a Senior Designer, responsible for managing design specifics and supporting project Directors. Kamel demonstrated expertise in creating designs from concept to implementation for IC projects. Following this, they worked at Leidos as a Senior Design Engineer, providing technical leadership and subject matter expertise for advanced communication systems projects.
Next, Geagea served as a Control Systems Programmer at AVI Systems, where they were responsible for overseeing installations and repairs. Kamel then joined TEKsystems as a Network Architect II, primarily focused on engineering and supporting technology solutions for collaboration across sites and conference rooms.
Later, Geagea joined Ally as a Network Architect, contributing to the network design and planning processes. Currently, they are employed at ITI Systems as the Vice President of Field Engineering, overseeing the field engineering department and providing strategic guidance.
Kamel Geagea has a diverse education history spanning from 1997 to 2016. Kamel first attended the University of Notre Dame from 1997 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a focus on Acoustics. During this time, they specialized in Acoustic Engineering with a concentration in Broadcast Media and Telecommunications.
In 2010, Kamel received training from High End Systems and became a Fixture Repair Specialist. The following year, in 2011, they participated in leadership training for Managers at Dale Carnegie. Additionally, they obtained certification in AutoCAD from Imaginit in the same year.
From 2012 to 2013, Kamel enrolled in the Crestron Technical Institute (CTI), where they obtained various certifications. In 2012, they completed the System Builder program at CTI, focusing on computer programming and specific applications. Kamel also received CTI-P101 and CTI-P201 certifications during the same period. Additionally, Kamel completed the HiQ Net program provided by Harman in 2012.
In 2013, Kamel attended another institution named Crestron Technical Institute, where they acquired the DMC-D degree. The following year, in 2016, they expanded their knowledge further by completing certification programs such as Crestron Fusion and Smart Graphics at CTI. Kamel also gained expertise in Tesira Forte and VoIP through educational programs offered by Biamp Education.
Furthermore, Kamel possesses additional certifications. In 2019, they obtained the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification from AVIXA. This was followed by the CCNA certification from Cisco in 2020. Most recently, in 2021, they became an AMX Certified Programmer from AMX by HARMAN.
