Eoin Hughes

Eoin Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Eoin is currently serving as the Head of Production Engineering at ITM Power, where they manage the production processes. Prior to this role, Eoin worked as an Industrialisation Manager at the same company.

From 2017 to 2021, Eoin worked at McLaren Automotive Ltd as a Composites Project Engineer. In this position, they were responsible for developing key processes and delivering machines for the production of composite monocoques, which are an integral part of McLaren chassis. Eoin worked on projects such as the Artura and the 765LT.

Before joining McLaren, Eoin worked at Allied Automation Ltd as a Mechanical Design Engineer from 2013 to 2017. Eoin designed machines to automate production and assembly lines for various manufacturing industries, utilizing robotic and machine vision technology.

Eoin started their career as a Partner at G & H Carpentry, where they gained valuable teamwork and leadership skills. Unfortunately, the business ceased trading in 2010. Prior to that, they worked as an Apprentice Carpenter at Tobin Carpentry, where they learned the art of quality craftsmanship.

Eoin Hughes completed their Junior Certificate at Salesian College in Celbridge from 2000 to 2003. Eoin then pursued a Certificate in Engineering Technology at St. Kevin's College in Crumlin, Dublin from 2010 to 2011. Following that, Eoin earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Carlow, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Currently, they are enrolled in an Apprenticeship program in Senior Leadership at Sheffield Hallam University, which is expected to be completed from 2022 to 2024.
