Kate Barnes

Kate Barnes is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in content development and acquisition across various leading organizations in the entertainment sector. Currently serving as the SVP Global Content, Scripted and Co-Productions at ITV Global Entertainment since February 2015, Kate oversees high-end drama production investments and editorial assessments. Prior roles include Executive Producer for TV at Microsoft's Xbox in EMEA, where strategic and development responsibilities for original content were undertaken, and Channel Controller for Channel 5's digital channels 5* and 5USA. Additional experience includes senior positions at BSkyB, Virgin Media Television, and Sony/Disney. Kate holds an MA (Hons) in Religious Studies from The University of Edinburgh and received early education at prestigious institutions including Fettes College and Polam Hall School.
