Sherif Wagih

Sherif Wagih currently serves as ITWorx Executive Director of MIS & AIS since May 2016.

Sherif finds in ITWorx his second home and describes its vibrant culture as a great work environment, he enjoys his job tremendously and feels at ease among ITWorxians. That’s why after founding the original MIS Department at ITWorx in 1999 and leaving for a United Nation Regional ICT Manager role, he returned to ITWorx in 2009.

His tenure with the World Food Programme sparked an interest in the areas of crisis management, emergency response, and disaster recovery, and taught Sherif to look for a blessing in every situation.

A bookworm and scholar, Sherif graduated from the American University in Cairo with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science in 1996 and 2003 respectively. He has also obtained several technical certifications in the IT Infrastructure, Strategy, and Service Management fields.

Outside the workplace, when he’s not reading science fiction novels or philosophy, he’s either spending quality time with his children, swimming, or off-roading.
