Michael Walker-CTS I, CTS D, CQT has extensive experience in the audiovisual and unified communications industry. Michael started their career at Audio Visual Resources in 2005, where they worked as a Crestron Programmer/Project Manager/Junior Engineer. During their time there, they gained skills in AutoCAD work, Crestron programming, system design, and project management. Michael also obtained their CTS certification and Crestron 1 and 2 certificates. In 2010, Michael joined IVCi as a Field Service Engineer, where they had a focus on unified communications technologies, audio-video engineering, project management, and Crestron programming. Michael later moved up to the roles of Field Engineer, Field Operations Supervisor, and Field Operations Manager. In May 2022, they were promoted to the position of Director of Engineering at IVCi. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong expertise in audiovisual technologies, project management, and Crestron programming.
Michael Walker-CTS has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Farmingdale State College, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed an associate's degree in Arts and Sciences from Nassau Community College between 2002 and 2004.
In terms of certifications, Michael obtained the Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) from AVIXA in February 2022. In April 2016, they obtained the CQT certification from The Association for Quality in Audio Visual Technology, Inc. (AQAV) and the CTS-I certification from InfoComm International. Michael also has additional certifications such as Biamp audia, DMC-D, DMC-E, and DMC-T from Crestron Electronics. Furthermore, they have certifications in effectively managing people and time management from the American Management Association, and an OSHA 30-hour certification, although the institution for the latter certification is not provided.
