Michael Krug has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Michael most recently worked at Ivoclar, starting in November 2014 as the Head of Corporate Quality Management and later became the Director of Corporate Quality Management in August 2019. In May 2022, they transitioned to the role of Global Head of Customer Care. Simultaneously, they served as an Advisor for the HBR Advisory Council at Harvard Business Review starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of QA & RA at Sagemax from May 2017 to March 2021. Before that, they worked as the Quality Management Representative at Wieland Dental+Technik GmbH & Co. KG from April 2016 to December 2020 and AB Ardent from January 2017 to April 2018. Additionally, they held various positions at SMB SA from January 2012 to October 2014, including Production Manager of the Medical Plant and Head of Quality & HSE. Michael also gained experience in auditing and supplier quality management at ThyssenKrupp from February 2007 to December 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Quality- & Process Engineer and Quality Assurance Assistant at GKN Sinter Metals from March 2001 to January 2007.
Michael Krug completed their Executive MBA in Digital Technology and Operations from the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons in 2023. Michael also pursued various executive education programs from Harvard Business School, including "Changing the Game: Negotiation and Competitive Decision-Making" (end year: 2023), "Transforming Customer Experiences" (end year: 2022), and "Driving Digital Strategy" (end year: 2021). Additionally, they obtained a Higher Economic Diploma in Management & Leadership from HSO Business School Switzerland in 2015 and studied Leadership Competencies at the University of St.Gallen in 2014.
