Sid Kim has worked in a variety of roles in the media and production industry since 2006. In 2006, they served as a Public Affairs Officer for the Republic of Korea Army. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Director, Editor, and Producer for TED Conferences, and was nominated for the NAMIC Vision Awards in 2013. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Video Producer for Weight Watchers, where they launched the internal content studio and produced editorial video, photo, livestream, and animated content. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Branded Content Director and Producer for Condé Nast, spearheading in-house branded content production from concept to delivery. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Executive Producer for Cat Rat Dog Inc., directing and producing branded video and animated content. Since 2021, they have been the Executive Director and Head of Production for IW Group Inc., leading an agile team of producers, creatives and project managers to drive award-winning 360 campaigns for clients. Theirwork has led IW Group to win Ad Age A-List Best Multicultural Agency recognition in 2022.

Sid Kim attended St. Mark's School from 2001 to 2004. Sid then attended New York University from 2004 to 2011, where they received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & TV Production. During their time at NYU, they also attended the NYU Stern School of Business from 2008 to 2011, studying the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. In 2009, Sid Kim obtained a Culture Producer certification from the Korean Cultural Center/Consulate General of the Republic of Korea.
