Sara Vaz has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to procurement, logistics, and process design. Sara currently works as a Process and Design Lead at IWG plc. Prior to this, they served as a Supply Lead at eTuk Factory in 2022. From 2020 to 2021, they held the position of Head of Procurement at Quantal, where they were responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and inbound operations.

Before joining Quantal, Sara worked at LafargeHolcim for several years, starting as a Procurement Domain Manager and later transitioning to the role of Global Processes Manager - Procurement. In these positions, they supported the standardization and optimization of the procurement process landscape globally and collaborated with IT and process communities. Sara also served as the Global Standards and Systems Manager, where they defined and developed efficient procurement/inventory management standards and systems.

Earlier in their career, Sara worked at Sonae Indústria and Sonae Indústria de Revestimentos, SA. At Sonae Indústria, they held roles such as Business Process Manager-Global Purchasing and Global Procurement Engineer, where they managed projects related to material master data and SAP-MM implementation. At Sonae Indústria de Revestimentos, they worked as a Logistics Manager and Logistic Analyst, focusing on cost analysis and database creation.

Sara started their career as a Researcher at Universidade do Porto. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in procurement, process design, logistics, and project management.

Sara Vaz's education history includes attending Duke Corporate Education in Switzerland for a Management Seminar in 2013. In 2009, they took a Course in Introduction to Management at Porto Business School. In the same year, they also completed a Strategic Portfolio Management Course at EIPM - The European Institute of Purchasing Management. Sara also holds additional certifications, including Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM®) from the Institute for Supply Management and Project Management PROFESSIONAL (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute.
