Ian Bennington

Ian Bennington has over 20 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance services. Ian is currently a Partner at BDO UK LLP, where they lead the National Governance, Risk & Compliance team. Their role involves delivering tailored services to clients, helping them manage risks effectively and improve their approach to governance and compliance. Prior to joining BDO, Ian worked at Deloitte, where they served as the Life Science Risk & Compliance Lead and later as a Director in the Risk Advisory division. In these roles, they led major engagements for global organizations, assisting them in establishing risk, compliance, and assurance capabilities. Ian also worked at Rolls-Royce as an Internal Audit Manager and at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Manager.

Ian Bennington has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Computer Sciences from the University of Hull, which they completed from 1996 to 1999. Ian then pursued the ACA qualification from ICAEW, studying from 1999 to 2002. Lastly, Ian earned their Master of Business Administration degree in Retail from the University of Stirling, where they studied from 2008 to 2011.
