Jt Rao

JT Rao has a strong background in software QA and testing. JT started their career at Alcatel-Lucent in 2004, where they worked as a QA Test/Systems Engineer in the IP Multimedia Subsystem IMS Group and later in the Mobility Solutions Group. During this time, they created test plans and test cases, ensured compliance with technical requirements, and contributed to the production of user guides. JT also received the Team USIG Usability Award for achieving superior levels of user friendliness.

In 2008, JT joined Lucent Technology / Alcatel-Lucent as a QA Test Engineer in the Fiber to the Home Business Unit. Here, they conducted manual tests, advocated for test automation, and set up and executed tests involving patching and connecting various equipment.

In 2009, JT moved to Cisco as a QA Test Lead, Advanced Services. In this role, they validated the functionality of the company's Collection and Analysis product through QA projects, directed a team of engineers, and maintained a QA Status website.

In 2010, JT worked at Overture Networks as a System Test Contractor, where they developed test strategies, plans, and cases, maintained bug reports, and successfully reduced testing time by building efficient test configurations.

Lastly, JT joined Keysight Network Visibility Test & Security in 2011, where they have held various positions, including Principal Test Engineer I and currently as Principal QA Engineer 5. In these roles, they have managed test professionals, built and submitted reports, and validated the functionality of products in an Agile environment.

Overall, JT Rao has a wealth of experience in QA and testing, with expertise in building test plans, executing tests, managing teams, and ensuring product functionality.

JT Rao obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from Bangalore University. JT then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Afterward, JT Rao enrolled in The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering. JT continued their education at The Ohio State University, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering. JT Rao also holds a certification in ISTQB from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
