Allison Cosca-Baresh

Allison Cosca-Baresh has a diverse work experience in the education and mathematics field. Allison started their career as an Undergraduate Research Scholar at UCLA Grand Challenges Program in September 2017 and worked until June 2018. From June to August 2018, they became a NOAA Hollings Scholar at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. In September 2018, they joined UCLA Mathematics as a Professor's Assistant and worked until March 2019. Allison then transitioned to teaching roles, starting as a Mathematics Teacher in AP Statistics and Algebra 1 at Shorewood High School from August 2021 to June 2022. Allison continued their teaching career at SEATTLE ACADEMY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES as a Mathematics Teacher in AP Statistics and Precalculus from August 2022 to July 2023. In September 2022, they also took on the role of a Mathematics Instructor for Competition Math at Art of Problem Solving and worked until July 2023. Their most recent work experience is as an Associate Product Manager at IXL Learning, starting in July 2023. Overall, Allison brings a strong background in mathematics and education to their work.

Allison Cosca-Baresh attended UCLA from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Computer Science. Their field of study focused on the practical applications of mathematics in the realm of computer science.

Following their undergraduate studies, Allison pursued further education at the University of Washington from 2020 to 2021. During this time, they obtained a Master's degree in Teaching and Teaching Credential. Their studies in this field provided their with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a career in education.
