Serge Ponnet began their work experience in 1998 as a Marketing Manager for Brouwerijen Alken-Maes (Scottisch & Newcastle). Serge continued in this role until 2005, during which time they also served as a Marketing Manager for Wines & Shops at Brouwerijen Alken-Maes. In 1999, they joined Alken-Maes as a Marketing Manager, a position they held until 2005. From 2006 to 2014, Ponnet worked as a Brand Marketeer for J. Cortès Cigars NV. In 2014, they became a Senior Marketing Manager at J Cortès Cigars, where they worked until 2016. Currently, Ponnet is employed at J. Cortès as part of the Legal & Business Affairs team.
Serge Ponnet has a diverse education background with various degrees and certifications. In 1994-1995, they pursued Economics at the Università degli Studi di Parma. In 1997-1998, they attended the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, where they obtained an MBA in Corporate Planning and Industrial Location. More recently, starting in 2014, they attended Voka, where they earned a degree in Return on the Marketing Investment, specializing in Marketing Management. In 2015, they engaged in Content Marketing studies at Stima Education. In 2016, they further enhanced their skills by obtaining an Advanced Certificate in Excel Advanced from the International Services Training & Consulting. Moreover, in the same year, they also completed a program on Time Management at Acta, concentrating on Personal Awareness and Self-Improvement. Additionally, they have participated in a GDPR Lab program provided by Voka, focusing on GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
