Patrick W. Saltmarsh

Patrick W. Saltmarsh has a diverse work history in the field of safety and fire protection. Patrick W. began their career as a Lieutenant at the Mattapoisett Fire Department, where they conducted fire inspections and enforced fire safety measures. Patrick W. also served as the Fire Prevention Officer and was quickly promoted to the rank of Lieutenant due to their leadership skills.

After leaving the fire department, Patrick worked as a Managing Member at SaltMarsh, LLC, a property management company with a focus on contractor coordination. Patrick W. then took on roles as a Safety Specialist Consultant at BOLD Moves Real Estate, a Safety Coordinator Consultant at Cardoso Concrete, Inc. and MAC Disposal Service, and a Safety Advisor Consultant at Parkside Excavation, Inc. In these positions, they developed and implemented safety programs, conducted risk assessments, and ensured compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Patrick also worked as an Environmental Health and Safety Inspector at Danya International, Inc., where they conducted health and safety inspections of educational facilities. Patrick W. then joined J. Derenzo Companies as the Corporate Safety Director, responsible for coordinating and implementing safety programs across six different companies within the organization.

Additionally, Patrick has contributed their expertise as a Subject Matter Expert for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and as the Co-Chairman of the Safety Committee at the Utility Contractors' Association of New England, Inc. (UCANE). Patrick W. has also written a monthly safety column for UCANE's Construction Outlook Magazine.

Throughout their career, Patrick has demonstrated their knowledge and experience in safety and fire protection, working with various organizations to promote and enforce safety measures.

Patrick W. Saltmarsh, CHST, CFI-II, CRIS has a B.S. degree in Fire Science from Anna Maria College. Patrick W. also holds an Associate's degree in Fire Science Technology from Bristol Community College and an Associate's Degree in Physical Science from Newbury College. In addition to their education, Patrick has obtained several certifications including Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI). Patrick W. also holds certifications in various other areas such as fire protection, traffic control, rigging, and environmental safety.
