Hoang Tran is an accomplished undergraduate researcher in biochemistry with experience in various prestigious institutions. Currently serving as an intern at the Stanford Cancer Institute, Hoang is engaged in non-viral and viral approaches for CAR T cells at the Center for Cancer Cell Therapy. As an Amgen Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine and a nominee for the National Goldwater Scholarship by UCLA, Hoang has been recognized for outstanding academic and research achievements. Research work includes designing corroles to target cancerous tissue at Caltech and conducting studies on copper metabolism at Cal State Fullerton. Hoang has received numerous accolades, including the UC Berkeley Regent’s and Chancellor Scholar award and recognition as a top 3% national scholar by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Volunteer experiences also include tutoring in math and science subjects, highlighting a commitment to academic mentorship.
