Rick Huntress

Rick Huntress has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Rick began their career in 1990 at DNX Transgenics as a Manager, where they stayed until 1996. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as a Research Associate at the Worcester Foundation. In 1998, they joined Exact Sciences as a Research Associate and stayed until 2001. Rick then moved to Taconic, where they held the role of Product Manager and Sales Representative from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, they joined The Jackson Laboratory as an Opportunity Development Manager until 2011 when they became the Business Unit Manager for Breeding Services. In 2011, they transitioned to the role of Senior Manager, Marketing until 2013. From 2013 to 2019, Rick served as the Director of Business Development for Clinical and In Vivo Services at The Jackson Laboratory. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Director of Business Development for Commercial Services and Strategy. Currently, Rick is the Senior Business Unit Manager for GEMS Development, Husbandry, and Characterization Services at The Jackson Laboratory. Starting in 2023, they will take on the role of Senior Director for North American Sales. Throughout their career, Rick has focused on developing business relationships, implementing strategies, and utilizing genetic and genomic diversity for translational research in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Rick Huntress attended High School from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Diploma with a focus on College Prep. Rick then went on to study at Colby College from 1983 to 1987, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General.
