Chris Geraci, CPP, WSO-CSSD has a diverse work experience. Chris started their career as a Sergeant in the US Army from May 2000 to August 2007. Following that, they worked as a Commercial Diver & Dive Medic at Cal Dive International from October 2006 to April 2012. From January 2012 to January 2014, Chris served as the Regional Safety Director & Trainer at Candescent Healing. Chris then joined Healogics, Inc. as a Safety Director from November 2014 to January 2018. Currently, Chris is serving as the Director of Safety and Security at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority since January 2018.
Chris Geraci, CPP, WSO-CSSD has a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety from Waldorf University, which was obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Emergency Management with Honors from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2015. In 2012, they completed their paramedic training at the Florida Medical Training Institute. Additionally, Chris has a certification as a Paramedic, obtained in May 2012, and holds multiple certifications, including being a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International and a Certified Safety & Security Director from the World Safety Organization. Other certifications include being a Certified Environmental Specialist from the OSHA Safety Training Institute and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional from IBFCSM. Chris also has certifications in critical infrastructure protection from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX and general industry safety from OSHA. Chris has completed the Graduate Safety Practitioner program offered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and has participated in various safety certification training programs, including the Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program and the Transit Safety & Security Program offered by the Federal Transit Administration.
