Kathryn Crestani

Kathryn Crestani serves as the Superintendent at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District since February 2004, focusing on enterprise biosolids management, innovation, and sustainability, with particular interests in greenhouse gas emissions reduction and PFAS/PFOS. Previous roles within the organization include Assistant Superintendent, Unit Process Manager, Supervisor of Enforcement, and Investigator, where responsibilities ranged from managing treatment processes and developing operational procedures to supervising enforcement teams and conducting environmental inspections. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Scientist at ATC Associates and Laboratory Manager at EssTek Ohio Inc., where Kathryn contributed to environmental assessments and laboratory accreditation. Educational achievements include an M.B.A. in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Cleveland State University, a B.S. in Biology from Kent State University, and ongoing studies for a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Communication at Northeastern University.
