Matthias Bauer

Matthias Bauer is an accomplished urban design and planning professional, currently serving as the Urban Design & Masterplanning Lead at Jacobs since November 2023, focusing on major projects in KSA and other large-scale developments in the UAE and Qatar. Previously, Matthias held the position of Director for Urban Planning & Urban Design at Egis, overseeing the Dubai Transit-Oriented Development Framework as part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Plan. With extensive experience at AECOM as Technical Director and at Atkins as Associate Director, Matthias has demonstrated leadership in urban design, planning, and economics across various regions, including extensive work in China, South East Asia, and competitive urban design projects. Educational credentials include a degree from Technische Universität Dresden and a certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, emphasizing expertise in real estate investment and urban design.
