Andres Ramirez has a wealth of experience in the software engineering field, spanning over 14 years. Andres began their career at wizard3D S.A., where they worked on various projects involving promotional games, mechanics research, and game engine development. Afterward, Ramirez joined the University of Southern California ITS: CST as a project manager, contributing to the development of the Autonomous Virtual Patient project.
Ramirez then worked as a gameplay engineer intern at Psychic Bunny, gaining valuable industry experience. Andres later transitioned to Zynga, where they served as a software engineer on the Poker and With Friends teams. In these roles, they helped create new features and maintain the Android and iOS poker and word game apps.
Following their time at Zynga, Ramirez joined Hidden Variable Studios as a Senior Software Engineer. During their tenure, they played a key role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of various games, including Bag It!, Threes Android, Up&Up!, and Skullgirls Mobile.
After Hidden Variable Studios, Ramirez worked at The Walt Disney Company as a Senior Gameplay Engineer, focusing on game development. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer at Jam City, where they continue to contribute their expertise to the field.
Andres Ramirez holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, which they obtained between 2005 and 2009. Andres also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Game Development from the University of Southern California, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. In addition, they have obtained several certifications on LinkedIn related to management and leadership.
