Spence Van Meter, MBA has a diverse and impressive work experience. Spence currently serves as the Director of DoD Business Development at Jamaica Bearings Group (JBG), where they lead logistics and materiel support direct to the military services and the Defense Logistics Agency.

Prior to their role at JBG, Spence held various leadership positions in the United States Air Force. Spence served as the Vice Wing Commander (Chief Operating Officer) of the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, where they oversaw a team of 3,100 employees and managed a budget of $6.

Spence also served as the Vice Wing Commander (Chief Operating Officer) of the 82d Training Wing, leading 12,200 employees and a $254 million annual budget. In addition, Spence was the Director of Logistics, Engineering, and Health Services for the U.S. Alaskan Command, where they led a team of 13 in providing solutions for logistics, engineering, and medical matters across multiple military installations.

Before their time in the Air Force, Spence worked as a Foreign Affairs Officer/Program Manager for the U.S. Department of State. In this role, they guided multi-million dollar initiatives to develop international peacekeeping capacity and represented the State Department with various stakeholders.

Spence also has experience as a director of logistics in the Air Force, commanding combat and support logistics squadrons and overseeing billions of dollars worth of facilities and equipment.

Spence earned a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, where they developed comprehensive knowledge in the fields of history, international relations, comparative politics, and political economy.
