Latara R. is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in civic engagement and volunteerism. Currently serving as Communications Manager for James City County since September 2019, Latara R. previously held roles as Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator for the City of Newport News and Volunteer and Civic Engagement Coordinator at James City County. With an extensive history in customer service training and event support within Parks and Recreation, Latara R. has also managed significant volunteer efforts at the American Red Cross, overseeing logistics for blood drives and participating in disaster relief operations. Latara R. holds a Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from James Madison University.
