Jenny Seddon

Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research at James Cook University

Jenny Seddon currently serves as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research at James Cook University since April 2023. Prior to this role, Jenny held positions at The University of Queensland, including Associate Dean Research and Deputy Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science, where responsibilities involved strategic research direction and collaboration enhancement. Jenny also served as a Professor of Animal Genetics and Genomics at the University of Queensland, contributing to wildlife conservation through genetic and genomic research across various species. Additional leadership roles included Deputy Head and Acting Head of the School of Veterinary Science, focusing on governance, accreditation, and resource management.
