Zak Greant has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Zak is currently the CEO and Co-founder of BigFilter.ai, a startup focused on ensuring safety and freedom in the age of AI. Prior to this, Zak was the VP Strategy at Janea Systems. Zak also owned Marketing for Good GmbH and served as the General Manager at Memurai, a Windows port of Redis, and as the VP of Marketing at ActiveState. Zak has also worked as an Open Source Advisor at the MariaDB Foundation and as the Co-founder of 51 Degrees North, a consulting firm specializing in ad campaign management and market research. Earlier in their career, Zak was the Head of Global Marketing at Magnolia International Ltd. and held various roles at Foo Associates Inc., where they provided community management and strategic consulting to software startups and non-profits.
Zak Greant has a diverse education history. In 1991, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) for one year, where they studied Professional Cooking. In 2021, they briefly studied at the Cambridge Judge Business School, although the specific degree or field of study is unknown.
In terms of additional certifications, Zak obtained multiple certifications from various institutions. In 2015, they received the Duolingo German Fluency: Elementary certification, followed by the Duolingo German Fluency: Intermediate certification in 2016. In 2019, they obtained the PH125.1x: Data Science: R Basics certification from edX. Moving on to 2022, Zak acquired the HackerRank CSS Certificate and the HackerRank SQL (Basic) Certificate from HackerRank. In the same year, they also completed the Mastering Business Models and Mastering Value Propositions certifications from Strategyzer. And finally, in 2023, they earned the Mastering Business Testing certification from Strategyzer.
