Tetsuya Yamamoto

Tetsuya Yamamoto is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in petrophysics and geological evaluation, currently serving as a Senior Petrophysicist/Geoscientist/Advisor at Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd since September 2014. In this role, Tetsuya advises on monitoring technology for CCUS projects and leads multi-disciplinary teams for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) feasibility evaluations. Previously, Tetsuya held a position as a Senior Geologist at ExxonMobil from September 2011 to August 2014, where optimization of well planning in Sakhalin's development project was a key responsibility. Tetsuya's career at Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd began in 1999 as a Geologist, progressing through various roles, including Senior Geologist and Assistant Geological Manager at Japan Azerbaijan Oil Company. Tetsuya holds a Master of Science degree in Geology, Geochemistry, and Petrology from Osaka City University.
