Gurkirat Singh (he/him)

Gurkirat Singh has work experience in various roles and companies. Gurkirat is currently serving as a Steward at SEIU since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Supervisor and Child and Youth Worker at Apple Blossom Village from March 2021. From June 2019, they were a Director of Care Assistant (Nurse Assistant) at Jarlette Health Services. Gurkirat also worked as a Personal Support Worker at Comfort Keepers from February 2021 to June 2021. Additionally, they have experience as a Resident Assistant at Mill Creek Care Centre from November 2020 to February 2021, and as a Team Lead (Dietary Aide) at Roberta Place Retirement Lodge from June 2018 to October 2020. Gurkirat also served as a Peer Mentor at Georgian College from April 2019 to December 2019.

Gurkirat Singh completed their Biotechnology-Health degree in Science at Georgian College from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they are pursuing a Register Behaviour technician Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Autism Partner Foundation, starting in 2022. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Non-violent crisis intervention from Safe Management Group Inc. in March 2021, as well as CPR and First Aid certifications from the Canadian Red Cross in December 2020.
