Mjumbe Poe

Mjumbe Poe is an experienced professional in urban technology and data analytics with a strong focus on civic engagement and urban planning. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in the Masters of Urban Spatial Analytics program at the University of Pennsylvania, Mjumbe teaches web application development using geographic data. Mjumbe also works as an Engineering Consultant for Jarvus Innovations, where involvement includes developing a data visualization product for transit agencies. As the Urban Technologist at Poe Public, Mjumbe specializes in technology strategies for urban projects and civic engagement. Previous roles include Co-founder and CTO of Stepwise Analytics, Data Engineer at Betterment, and Digital Services Architect for the City of Philadelphia. Mjumbe holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College.
