Marva Tigner

Marva Tigner has over two decades of experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Chief of Academics and Federal Programs at Jasper County School District since June 2010. In various roles within the district, including Senior Executive Director and Director of Federal Programs, responsibilities include supervising the implementation of federal grants, providing professional development, and managing accounting and expenditures. Additionally, Marva Tigner has been an Adjunct Instructor at Converse College and the College of Charleston since 2011 and 2004, respectively, focusing on Gifted and Talented endorsement courses for teachers. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Jasper County School District from 2000 to 2009. Educational qualifications include an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Sarasota and a Bachelor of Arts in Intermediate Education from Saint Augustine’s University.
