Bethany Gray

Director of STEM Education at Jasper County School District

Mrs. Bethany Gray is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winthrop University, where she graduated with honors. Mrs. Gray continued her studies to obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University and her Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Walden University, where she also graduated with honors obtaining a 4.0 GPA from both universities. Mrs. Gray is currently furthering her education at Capella University. Throughout her career, Mrs. Gray taught first grade, second grade, and third grade. After serving as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Gray moved into the administrative sector of education. She became Curriculum Coordinator, specializing in curriculum and instruction. Mrs. Gray has served an Assistant Principal at the elementary school level specializing in Montessori Education and has most recently served as the Coordinator of Staff Effectiveness and Recruitment for Jasper County Schools.

In the course of her career, Mrs. Gray served as a STEM lead teacher at a Cognia certified STEM magnet school, field supervisor for Teachers of Tomorrow, Youth Advocate counselor, and Read 2 Succeed Summer Reading Camp principal. Mrs. Gray has received training in both Lower and Upper level Montessori, Project Lead the Way STEM lead teacher training, has been the recipient of several grants, and was nominated as Teacher of the year during her first year teaching.

Mrs. Gray is committed to providing high quality service to all stakeholders through building relationships, educating, inspiring, and collaborating with others.
