Leah Schmidt

Leah Schmidt has over 30 years of work experience in the chemical industry. Leah began their career in 1992 at National Environmental Testing as a Department Coordinator and Organic Extraction Analyst. In 1998, they joined Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. as a Chemist and Chemical Technician. In 2022, they began working for Jasper Engineering & Equipment Company as an Inside Sales/ Technical Specialist. Throughout their career, Leah has performed calibrations on customer equipment, tested and evaluated competitor products, supervised a department of 9 analysts, developed and updated Standard Operating Procedures, prepared soil and water samples for analysis, operated Gel Permeation Chromatography units, and performed infrared spectrometry on prepared samples.

Leah Schmidt attended South Dakota State University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a BS in Environmental Science and Chemistry. In 2016 and 2017, they attended Middlesex Community College and earned a Technical Writing Certificate in Technical Communications.
