Nicholas Sihotang has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Nicholas started their career as a Programmer Analyst at PT. Citra Tubindo Tbk from October 2004 to March 2006. Nicholas then worked as a Programmer Analyst and Project Manager Officer at Medan IT from March 2006 to March 2008, where they handled websites development and various client projects.
Subsequently, Nicholas joined Namira Islamic School as a Teacher from October 2010 to February 2013. Nicholas then worked at 32U as the CTO from February 2013 to December 2014, where they provided online presence services including website development and social media management.
In 2014, Nicholas worked at Value Media as a Web Developer, focusing on brand development, SEO enhancement, and developing WordPress plugins. From 2008 onwards, they worked as a System Admin at Hosting Ngemeng, responsible for systems administration.
Currently, Nicholas is the Head of Sales and Presales at Jati Piranti Solusindo, PT. Nicholas joined the company in June 2015 as a Presales professional and has since progressed to lead the sales team. Nicholas is responsible for offering solutions to clients, generating revenue through system implementation, custom development, and providing managed service resources.
Nicholas Sihotang obtained an Associate's Degree in Information System from Del Polytechnics of Informatics, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended Methodist 1 Medan from 1999 to 2001 and Taman Siswa Arun from 1998 to 1999, but did not earn a degree at either of these schools.
In terms of additional certifications, Nicholas obtained certifications such as "AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials Day" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, "Associate Pre-Sales" and "Associate Sales" from OutSystems in 2020, "Associate Mobile Developer - O11" from OutSystems in 2019, and "International Seminar & Workshop 'Internet for Freedom of Expression'" from Indonesian ICT Partnership (ICT Watch) in 2012.
