Tara Hensley

Tara Hensley has extensive experience in business development and data analysis, currently serving as a Business Development Analyst, Proposal Coordinator, and Senior Contracts Analyst at JPI since April 2012. Responsibilities include collaborating with government small business advocates to secure contracting opportunities for a HUBZone company, generating promotional materials for the HUBZone program, analyzing procurement data to identify government organizations not meeting HUBZone goals, and overseeing the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) process for contracts exceeding $1M. Prior to JPI, Hensley worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Blacksburg Transit from January 2011 to April 2013, where duties involved data collection and analysis using MS Excel and SQL. Hensley's managerial experience includes working as a Manager/Bartender at Hokie House Restaurant from January 2007 to January 2013. Hensley holds a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies/Affairs, both from Virginia Tech.
