Murat Cirit

Murat oversees the company’s corporate and scientific strategies and execution. Prior to founding Javelin Biotech, Murat was the founding PI of the Translational Center of Tissue Chip Technologies (TC2T) at MIT. He received over $13 million in research funding from NIH/NCATS, NASA/CASIS, NSF, and pharmaceutical companies. TC2T specialized in interdisciplinary research of microphysiological systems (MPS) and computational biology. Murat received his PhD from NCSU—Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey.
