Khalid Shehzad

Khalid Shehzad has over 20 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Khalid most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer at Mobilink, the largest mobile operator in Pakistan, from 2015 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for the transformation and reorganization of the Technology Organization, virtualization of IT data centers, network swap of over 5000 sites, and optimization of the transmission network.

Prior to Mobilink, Khalid Shehzad was the Chief Technology Officer at DTAC Thailand, the second largest operator in Thailand, from 2011 to 2015. Khalid also held the position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Telenor Pakistan, a subsidiary of Telenor, from 2004 to 2011. In this role, they successfully merged the IT and Technical Divisions and established an IP Call Center solution resulting in significant cost savings.

Other notable positions Khalid Shehzad held include Head of IT at Celtel Tanzania, Vice President IT at PTML, Chief Information Officer at WesternWireless Int., and Director IT at Vipnet GSM d.o.o. In these roles, they led various IT and infrastructure initiatives and managed large teams.

Khalid Shehzad received their Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge from 1988 to 1992. Khalid pursued further education and obtained an MBA in Management from Karachi University between 1994 and 1997.
