James L. Marvin

James Marvin possesses extensive legal experience, currently serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at JBT Corporation since July 2008, after previously holding the position of Deputy General Counsel and Secretary. Prior roles include Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at FMC Technologies from April 2003 to July 2008, and Chief Corporate Counsel and Managing Attorney at Heller Financial from 1997 to 2002. James also held various positions at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, culminating as Partner in Finance and Reorganization, and started a legal career as an Associate in Corporate Securities at O’Connor Cavanagh Killingsworth & Beshears. Academically, James earned a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a Psychology major from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
