Saya Lancien has a extensive and diverse work experience. Saya started their career as an intern at the French Ministry of Defence in 2004. Saya then worked as a law clerk at the Appeal Court of Versailles from 2005 to 2007. Saya later joined Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as a trainee in the Competition law department. Saya conducted legal research on collective dominant position and drafted concentration notifications.
In 2008, Saya became an associate at Gide Loyrette Nouel, specializing in Corporate - Mergers & Acquisitions. Saya advised French and foreign companies on acquisitions, investments, and transfers of assets. Saya organized and supervised legal due diligences and drafted due diligence reports.
From 2011 to 2016, Saya worked as a Senior Associate at Aramis Law Firm. Saya was involved in various M&A transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, joint-ventures, and investments. Saya acted as lead attorney and oversaw projects from due diligence to the closing of deals.
Since 2016, Saya has been employed at JCDecaux, initially as a Senior international legal counsel, and is currently serving as the Head of legal for Europe, North Africa, and Central Asia. In their current role, they manage a team of legal counsels and provides legal advice on the company's external growth operations and commercial contracts across various geographical areas.
Saya Lancien has a Master's degree in Public Affairs/Law from Sciences Po, which they obtained from 2000 to 2005. Saya also has a Bachelor's degree (Licence) in Art History from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, earned between 2009 and 2012. Saya Lancien completed another Master's degree in Business Law at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, they obtained a Maîtrise degree in Law from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 2005. Saya Lancien has also achieved an AIKOM certificate in Japanese studies from The University of Tokyo, where they studied in 2002 and 2003. Saya completed their secondary education at Lycée Henri IV, where they obtained their Baccalauréat with honours in Literature and Maths from 1997 to 2000.
