Senior Director, Higher Education Programs at The Jed Foundation (JED)

Diana Cusumano Gerring has a diverse work experience in the mental health counseling and education field. Diana is currently working at The Jed Foundation as the Senior Director of Higher Education Programs, where they have been since 2017. Prior to this, they held various roles within the organization, including Director of JED Campus & Wellness Initiatives and Senior Campus Advisor.

In addition to their work at The Jed Foundation, Diana is a Certified Yoga Instructor, having obtained their 500 Hour certification in 2017 from Yoga Alliance. Diana has also worked in private practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor on a per diem basis since 2013.

Diana's earlier experience includes working at The College of Westchester, where they held positions such as Assistant Dean/Director of the Counseling Center, Academic Advisor, Counselor, and Assistant Admissions Coordinator. Diana started working at The College of Westchester in 2005 and stayed there until 2016.

Diana Cusumano Gerring LMHC, NCC, RYT completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Central Connecticut State University from 2001 to 2005. Diana then pursued their Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Pace University-Pleasantville/Briarcliff Campus, graduating between 2006 and 2009. After completing their education, Diana obtained their Licensed Mental Health Counselor certification from the New York State Office of Mental Health in September 2009. In September 2012, they became a National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Diana has also acquired several additional certifications throughout their career. In November 2016, they became a Registered 240 Hour Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Diana further expanded their yoga training and obtained the title of Registered 500 Hour Yoga Alliance Instructor from Yoga Alliance in December 2020. Additionally, they became a Certified Koru Mindfulness Teacher from The Center for Koru Mindfulness in October 2020. In September 2020, Diana completed the Dare to Lead training program offered by Dare to Lead™ Trained.
