Janet Akers

Janet Akers has over 20 years of experience in the field of radiologic technology. Janet started their career at Madison Medical Center as a Radiologic Technologist before moving to Mercy Health Partners in 2000, where they held the same role until 2012. Since 2012, they have been at Jefferson College, first as the Acting Program Director for the Radiologic Technology Program and then as the Director of Radiologic Technology. Janet's extensive work experience demonstrates their expertise and dedication to the field.

Janet Akers holds an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer from Mineral Area College, obtained between 1994 and 1997. Following this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Central Methodist University from 2005 to 2007. Later, they pursued further education and completed a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Grand Canyon University from 2018 to 2022. Janet's educational journey demonstrates a commitment to learning and professional development in various fields.
