Jeff Prewitt has a wide range of experience in the field of human resources and organizational psychology. Jeff began their career in 1983 as a Senior Psychometrician with the New Orleans City Government, where they conducted job analyses and assessments for candidates. In 1986, they joined the City of Louisville as the Chief Examiner, where they supervised the development and administration of exams and promotional simulations. Jeff then served as the Civil Service Director for the City of Louisville from 1995 to 2003, where they reformed the Civil Service system and improved customer satisfaction. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as the Civil Service Director/Assistant HR Director for Louisville Metro Government, expanding their role to include training and facilitating. Finally, since 2006, they have been the Chief Examiner at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, where they have developed and coordinated examinations and managed the activities of the Merit Board. Throughout their career, they have also worked as a facilitator and trainer for various government and non-profit organizations.
Jeff Prewitt obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 1981. Jeff later obtained a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Western Kentucky University, completing their studies in 1983. Additionally, they hold a certification as an International Personnel Management Association (IPMA) Senior Certified Professional, granted by the International Personnel Management Association.
