Omer Riaz

Omer Riaz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Omer currently holds the position of VP Strategy, Corporate Development, and Innovation at Jenzabar since October 2020. Prior to this, Omer worked as an M&A Advisor specializing in the education sector for DBD Partners from 2018 to 2021. Omer also served as the Chief Growth Officer and an Advisor at SOCO.AI, a company specializing in artificial intelligence, from 2019 to 2020. Omer was an Entrepreneur in Residence at AARP from 2017 to 2019 and an Advisor at Expert Knowledge Networks Inc. during the same time period. Earlier in their career, Omer played a significant role in launching GEN Z Connect, a digital platform aimed at helping college students and recent graduates with career guidance and networking. The company was later acquired by Expert Knowledge Networks. Omer also worked at Kaplan, where they held various positions including Executive Director, Director, and participant in the Kaplan Ventures Leadership Program. Omer began their career as a Technology Transfer Officer at Carnegie Mellon University while pursuing their MBA. Omer's diverse experience also includes being a founding team member of Landslide Technologies, a startup that developed Sales CRM software and was later acquired by J2 Global.

Omer Riaz holds an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business, earned from 2006 to 2009. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics at Ohio Wesleyan University, from 1999 to 2003.
