Rich Chrampanis

Chief Operating Officer at Jersey Sports Zone

Rich Chrampanis has held a variety of roles in sports media since 1993. Rich began their career as an Associate Sports Producer at WCBS-TV in 1993. In 1995, they moved to KTVO-TV as a Sports Director and then to WVII/WFVX BANGOR in 1997 in the same role. In 2000, they joined WPDE TV 15 as Sports Director, anchoring the 6, 7, 10, and 11pm newscasts and hosting the End Zone, a 60 minute high school football program. During their time at WPDE, they also created the Zoneman Trophy and Mister and Miss Hoop Zone Trophy, and covered University of South Carolina and Clemson football, NASCAR Sprint Cup races, and Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball. In 2014, they created Shore Sports Zone, a hyperlocal sports website, and in 2017, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Jersey Sports Zone, managing four full-time multimedia journalists and hosting banquets in the fall and winter honoring the top athletes in New Jersey.

Rich Chrampanis graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
