Jack Ahrens

Jack Ahrens is an Aero Performance Engineer at JetZero since July 2023, with extensive experience in aerospace engineering. As Chief Engineer for the AeroDesign Team at the University of Southern California from August 2018 to April 2023, Jack managed multiple engineering leads throughout the AIAA Design Build Fly competition cycle, emphasizing aircraft performance and design optimization. Jack's roles included Aerodynamics, Stability & Control Lead, Aerodynamics and Systems Engineer, and Payloads and Manufacturing Engineer, contributing to various competition successes. Prior to these positions, Jack gained experience at Talyn Air and Tanner Research in aircraft design, aerodynamics, and flight testing, while also contributing to the USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. Jack holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
