Karen de Vries

Karen de Vries has extensive experience in youth care, currently serving as a Jeugdbeschermer at Jeugdbescherming Brabant since June 2017. In this role, Karen is responsible for implementing guardianship measures, developing and evaluating action plans in collaboration with parents, guardians, and youth, and coordinating appropriate support services to mitigate developmental risks. Prior to this, Karen worked as a Persoonlijk Begeleider at Koraal Groep from January 2012 to May 2017, assisting groups of youth with mild intellectual disabilities and additional psychiatric challenges in addressing their individual care needs. Additionally, Karen served as a Cliëntbegeleider at Lunet Zorg from February 2007 to December 2013, supporting clients with basic care and managing personal plans. Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ambulant/Residentieel Pedagogiek from Fontys Hogeschool Pedagogiek and a degree in Sociaal Pedagogisch Werker from Summa.
