Derek Bartley

Derek Bartley, CPEng., RPEQ, is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in project management and sustainable design. Currently serving as an Associate at JHA Consulting Engineers since March 2022, Derek previously held senior roles at Smith + Andersen and Norman Disney & Young, where responsibilities included strategic planning, mechanical design, and leadership for diverse multi-disciplinary projects. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria and credentials as a Certified Passive House Designer and LEED Accredited Professional, Derek specializes in delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions for a variety of building types while focusing on energy conservation and sustainability.
